Choreographer, Janelle, began her dancing career at the young age of 2, studying jazz, tap and ballet.  She brings over 20 years of instruction and choreography throughout California and Arizona as a troupe choreographer, troupe lead and solo artist.

 

Janelle’s inspiration and musical choreography embraces the dance of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Persia and Greece inspiring traditional and cabaret styles as well as in depth Polynesian techniques.

 

Performances have included Fox Studios, Hollywood; Armstrong Theatre, Torrance; and in  Lulu’s Place at the Inglewood playhouse. Janelle performs regularly to live music at the Crowne Plaza, San Pedro belly dance review. She also performs in various belly dance showcases through out the South Bay and Long Beach.

Janelle’s long tenure as an instructor of advanced belly dance includes the Torrance Cultural Arts Center and Torrance Unified School District.

 

Janelle’s choreography has been performed by professional dance troupes throughout California and Arizona.  She also has a long history as a Director of various renowned Dance Troupes.

 

Janelle currently teaches advanced Middle Eastern technique at the West End Dance Studio in Torrance, California.

 

Janelle is the director and choreographer of her performing troupe, Janelle’s Jewels. She is available for private performances, individual and group lessons, workshops and belly dance teaching parties.
